Random Thought


I was just sitting around thinking about stocks and my mind went off on a tangent into sports (of course the finals are happening) and I thought about the Chicago Bulls and then also realized that that city has two sports teams that correspond to the market.  The Bulls and the Bears.  I wondered if anyone else saw this correlation.  Chicago is an important financial center and they are home to the CBOE (Chicago Board Options Exchange) which is the world’s largest options exchange and home of the VIX (volatility index for S&P 500 options).


I double checked and the guy who named the Bulls wasn’t even thinking about the market:
