My name is Dr. William E. Smith. I have been buying small amounts of stocks since the 1990s and got out just before the dot com bubble burst in 2000. I would not have called myself a trader back then because I had no clue of any of the stuff I know now. I took it upon myself to become an educated investor and learn about the details of trading and investing. They say if you want to make money then learn about it. Learn the language of money, learn how it’s made and become friends with it. I started out with paper money trading and then gradually went into using my own hard earned cash. That process is a story in itself but however you slice it, it is a stressful and intimidating experience watching your own money go up and down in value on a computer screen. So for me to trust my own money in the market this time around I wanted to know all the details and be a better informed trader and investor.

This blog is about what I’ve learned from all of the webinars, tutorials and research I have imbibed and how to turn that into a simple way to make extra income on a consistent basis. I believe in the Robert Kiyosaki approach of becoming a business owner and an investor instead of relying on being an employee or being self-employed. I took his approach to heart and I do own real estate properties as another income vehicle and would advise most people to do the same. However, after REALLY learning about trading on the stock market I can see how people can do just fine without owning any real estate and just trading in the markets. In fact you can make the same amount of money without the hassle of owning a property by just owning certain investments. And these investments don’t wreck your place or skip out on rent.
